CaitVi is clearly an extremely widespread ship in Arcane, and going into season 2, its co-creator mentioned the group knew the pairing was “moving into this shitstorm.”

The primary season of Arcane had loads of drama to latch on to, however clearly with it forming such a passionate fandom, delivery turned part of its enduring success too – such is the character of life! Protagonist Vi and wealthy woman Caitlyn have been, unsurprisingly, the primary ship of the season, and in a latest interview with GamesRadar, co-creator Christian Linke spoke about how getting their relationship proper was “scary.” He defined, “we knew that after season 1, particularly with the cliffhanger, it wasn’t going to be like ‘after which they have been glad’.”
“We knew they have been moving into this shitstorm. The query we had after we began engaged on season 2 is strictly the query that the viewers was going to have: ‘Can their relationship survive this?’ There’s this loss from each characters as they step into season 2. Caitlyn has misplaced a mom, Vi has misplaced her sister, and in order they’re venturing out to confront issues, there actually is that this query: ‘What is going on to occur to them? Are they going to vary past some extent the place they’re now not the individual the opposite might acknowledge? I feel there’s a whole lot of drama and battle forward that is scary for the connection.”
Keep in mind, it is unclear how that relationship will unfold, as solely the primary three episodes have been launched thus far. The following couple components are due out subsequent week on November 16, and the week after on November 23, so there’s a lot that might go unsuitable for the pair.
